Julie Doyle and Laura Shockley – Introducing (and Demystifying) the Grant Application Process

This event is held by Julie Doyle (SAM Grant Capture Lead) and Laura Shockley (Research Development Adviser)

Thinking about applying for a grant but don’t understand the application process? Have a project idea but don’t know where to start? Thinking about applying in the future but would like to know more? Already know the application process but would like a refresher? This session is for you all!

This session will explain the University’s process for grant applications, starting with the early stages of planning (PURE research profile and project idea) and identifying funding sources, to developing and writing the proposal and undertaking internal peer review. The session will explain all the internal stages that you need to follow as part of the bid development process, and also identify the grant development support that is available to you. There will be opportunities for Q&A throughout the session.
