The event is offered by Community21 REG and The Centre of Arts and Wellbeing [Arts and Ecology strand].
The Wild House is an EPSRC / Ecological Citizenship funded project to produce a regenerative retrofit within our world famous Waste House as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations. Researchers from across University of Brighton and Sussex and Design and Ecology disciplines are creating a model social house ‘show home’ where all the material objects within the home are made to form meaningful connections between people and nature – This we refer to as an Ecology-of-Things [EoT].
The event will present the work in progress of the Wild House and its range of material and digitally augmented objects and will involve a co-design session between established makers who will contribute ideas and objects to the house. This includes makers working in 3D design, craft and textiles, print, digital interaction and sound.
The session will interest creatives at any level interested in creativity and ecology and nature positive approaches to a building better built environment for humans as part of nature. Please do contact Nick Gant if you have any questions via n.a.gant@brighton.ac.uk
