Dear all, We are looking to run two bid-writing sessions in March and May, details below. This will be a really useful allocated time in your diary to focus on bids with assistance from bid-support with tailored advice for CAPPE members. Event: In Real Time – exhibition showcasing recent work of level 5 BA Fine Art Printmaking students | LAUNCH FRIDAY 26 JANUARY 5:30–7:30PM FOR EXHIBITION FROM SATURDAY 27 JANUARY TO THURSDAY 1 FEBRUARY | EDWARD STREET

The 16 artists represented in the exhibition have diverse interests in terms of subject matter, style, technique, and materials. A wide range of printmaking and image-making techniques will be displayed, including screenprints, etchings, lithographs, and relief prints on various surfaces. The launch event will coincide with the opening of our level 5 BA Fine Art student’s exhibition, which also takes place in the Edward St building. Event: Evidencing and evaluating impact | Tuesday 23 January 2024, 10:00-12:30 | Mithras House room G5

Evidencing and evaluating impact  – refreshments provided Facilitator: Saskia Gent, Insights for Impact This workshop will take a detailed look at how to evaluate and evidence impact as it occurs and across the research and impact lifecycle. It will provide examples of the best types of evidence for different types of impact, both quantitative and qualitative. Participants will gain a greater understanding of the different ways of collecting evidence of impact, where to find it, how to plan for it and how it can be used to sustain and scale impact. The workshop will be highly interactive with attention paid to participants own projects and the specific challenges and opportunities they face evidencing and evaluating impact. EXHIBITION: Matthew Cornford & John Beck – The Art Schools of the East Midlands | 22 September – 2 December 2023 | Bonnington Gallery at Nottingham Trent University

This autumn Bonington Gallery at Nottingham Trent University  presents The Art Schools of the East Midlands, the latest iteration of John Beck’s and Matthew Cornford’s ambitious Art School Project to locate and document the nation’s art school buildings or the sites upon which they once stood. The project combines photography, text, and archival materials to explore the histories and legacies of Britain’s art schools, and examine the vital role art schools have played, and continue to play, in the cultural and economic life of our towns and cities.
