Grant Caputure: Pre-Award Team have introduced new SharePoint pages
The Bid Support team have been re-visiting the information and training resources they offer on their sharepoint pages; particularly how to enhance the quality of bids and help researchers find out information about application processes.
As part of this endeavour, they have just launched two pages on their sharepoint page:
The Successful bids library is an archive of previously successful examples of applications submitted by UoB researchers, that is open to all members of staff across the university to access.
Just a couple of things to note:
- They have only uploaded bids were UoB were the lead (or joint lead), and where we have been able to obtain direct permission from the PI to share.
- This is a work in progress – the first batch of applications have been uploaded but they are intending to send out another round of permission requests soon. On that note, thank you to all those that have already granted permission for us to share your bid. If others are happy for us to share your successful applications on the page, please do let us know (it may be that we just haven’t got round to asking you yet!).
- The document library is only accessible to UoB staff members (not students) and they are asking staff not to share these examples beyond the University.
On this page Bid Support will be providing information on any internal demand management processes implemented for specific external funding schemes, whether this is due to a funder requirement or an institutional decision to manage quality and capacity.
This page will be updated regularly so please do bookmark – coming soon is the SCDTP Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme 2026/2027 and towards the end of the year we will publish information about the UKRI FLF scheme round 11.
Best wishes
