Congratulations! Andre and Katrin nominated for University of Brighton award!

We are pleased to announce that Andre Viljoen and Katrin Bohn have been nominated in the University of Brighton’s One Staff Awards for a Research & Enterprise Award in the Outstanding Research & Enterprise Impact category. Last week, in a university-wide online awards event, nearly 200 nominees were celebrated.

The University of Brighton’s One Staff Awards recognise the unique contribution of different staff with a number of different employee awards. Previously these awards were run separately at different times of the academic year. For the first time, this year all celebrations are together at one (virtual) event including music, glitter and many rounds of applause.

Also nominated was the School of Architecture & Design’s technical team with our colleagues Claire Hoskin, Pete March, Ted Randell and Dawn Whitaker who went on to win the award in their category Contribution to Teaching & Learning.

Katrin and Andre were nominated for ‘outstanding and significant impact arising from research and/or enterprise activities’ centred around their work on productive urban landscapes and CPUL with researchers and civil society groups in Japan and Europe.
