Physical Assessment of Adults
This module is for nurses, paramedics and allied healthcare professionals working in acute and primary care who regularly work with patients requiring physical assessment of one or more of the physiological systems. This module is available at level 6 and level 7.

NH6157 – Level 6 NH7157 – Level 7 (Semester 1)
Content
Structured assessment of the following physiological systems: cardiac, respiratory, abdominal, neurological, musculoskeletal, eye, ear, nose & throat, skin, history taking and clinical reasoning.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should be working in the UK as a healthcare professional for a minimum of 2 days per week, working in a clinical area with support available from a designated mentor. Applicants at level 7 would normally possess a bachelor degree or equivalent or have evidence of the ability to study at postgraduate level
Assessments
A VIVA to interpret health history and physical assessment findings (50%), OSCE of two of the physiological systems which will include either respiratory or cardiac for both NH6157 and NH7157 (50%) and completion of six skills in practice (Pass/ Refer).
