Content
This module recognises the importance of student engagement in learning. It is designed to develop an understanding of practices, policies, and strategies to improve the student experience in parallel with theory in this area, including concepts such as of student satisfaction and student-staff partnership in learning. You will be encouraged to critically reflect on student engagement practice in your own pedagogic context (student voice, partnership etc.). Assessment plays a significant role in student engagement and the module addresses the influence of types of assessment activity on the approach to the learning and study behaviours and its incorporation into teaching. You will be offered opportunities to discuss and critically reflect on and assess your own practice.
This module aims to:
* Facilitate pedagogic development through critical reflection on students’ practice in the light of participant engagement theory and strategy.
