Cardiac Arrhythmias
This module is for nurses, paramedics and allied healthcare professionals working in acute and primary care who regularly work with patients with arrhythmias.

Content
Anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology related to cardiac rhythms · Principles of electrocardiography · Cause, recognition, haemodynamic consequences and management of atrial, junctional and ventricular arrhythmias · Sudden arrhythmic (cardiac) death syndromes · Pharmacological management of arrhythmias · Electrical management of arrhythmias · Surgical management of arrhythmias · Psychosocial care of patients and families with reference to Resuscitation Council (UK) algorithms, clinical guidelines and evidence-based research
Entry Requirements
Applicants should be working in the UK as a healthcare professional for a minimum of 2 days per week, working in a clinical area with support available from a designated mentor.
Applicants at level 7 would normally possess a bachelor degree or equivalent or have evidence of the ability to study at postgraduate level
