Showcase: ‘Campaign’ (2014) Harley Marjoram
“Advertising imagery moulds and shapes our lifestyles, desires and pleasures, to the point where big companies (such as Apple) do not even have to show their products in their adverts. Their stylistic devices are enough for us to identify their brand; but why are we so ready to buy products we do not really need yet find it difficult to reach into our pockets to help people in poverty? In this body of work Harley Marjoram uses the products, fonts and layouts of Apple advertising to create abstract formations of such desire and seduction.”
Harley is a current student on the Photography BA(Hons). You can see more of his work here.
