Second Final Photoshoot

Second Final Photoshoot

Whilst at home for Christmas, I planned to do my last two final photoshoot for my editorial. The first one I conducted, I decided to take advantage of my surroundings and use the Turner Contemporary art gallery in Margate, as my location. I went to look around the day before and decided the best background and surroundings for my photos would be outside, as it is made up of cement walls and large cubes that make amazing backdrops. The colour scheme was exactly what I wanted which was grey and white minimalistic. My theme throughout my final editorial is the combination of fabric and photography. I looked at photographers such as Liz Collins for photography and Ondine Azoulay. I looked into Azoulay’s featured styling in Fair Issue 23, named ‘Intimate’ where she uses a large amount of fabric as a prop as well as for the clothing.

From the image above you can notice the use of material/ fabric as a prop in a plain background. I wanted to incorporate this into my photoshoot. I made a concept board for the shoot looking at the colours, materials, fabrics, clothing etc.

The concept board revolved around the minimalist colour scheme, type of photography and clothing.

I was very happy with the final outcomes of the shoot and felt I succeeded the image/ theme I was aiming for.
