This attempt at inserting blue fabric into paper was more successful I think as the fabric was more embed within the paper compared to the previous time where it was more of a separate entity. I like the print left on the paper here from the towel placed on top.

A4 paper and Chilli flakes
Experimentation – White A4 paper and blue fabric
I really like the result of this outcome but only on one side. The side in which you can see all of the fabric doesn’t look like paper and the fabric is too prominent however the other side I feel is interesting. If I were to re-do this style I’d try to add paper either side to hide more of the fabric.
Experimentation – Newspaper
This experiment I feel is one of my least favourites. The outcome was too thick and the colour is not appealing. I did not take into account the different colours present or consider that they could run. From this I have learnt to consider the amount of colours present and also to think about the length of time I blend the initial materials for.
Experimentation – Egg boxes and fabric
Experimentation – A4 paper and egg boxes continued
Experimentation – A4 white paper and egg boxes
First attempt –
Slightly too thick due to not enough water. 90% egg box and 10% A4 paper
Second attempt – I used roughly 90% A4 paper and 10% egg boxes
Third attempt – Using a lot more water here creating a thinner consistency. I really like the colour of this piece and the texture from the thicker bits of the egg box. I want to try next using more paper and blending the egg box in for only 3 seconds rather than 10 to create more of a contrast.

Use the idea of a fold (as if it was a memory)
Make paper that is thick enough to fold or use a stencil/ mould to create shapes?
