Aim – to obtain mechanical experience using the Colchester student 2500 training lathe and the XYZ 2000 milling machine.
At the University of Brighton, metal workshop induction is done on the first floor of the Advanced Engineering Building. As safety precaution protective goggles and a lab coat was provided. Before the process begin a small brief was given about the machineries present in the lab and their usage. There was also a detailed diagram of what the objective of the workshop was.

In figure 1 and 2 we can see the two machines that were used to complete the objective.
