Dreams, what are dreams?
I often question myself. In perfect definition dreams are just a facade, a few moment of unconsciousness, where you live the life you desire.
What’s mine?
Mines too many too count.
Now, welcome to my blog everyone or should I say welcome to living my dream. I’m Malila Jahan, a not so perfect daughter, a tough cookie if I may say so myself, a little bit over protective of my personal space and most importantly a dreamer.
In my life I had many dreams and ambitions but nothing really stuck to me. But there’s something that I always enjoyed, that is to be free. To feel like my feet have been elevated from the ground and suddenly I’m floating. That moment of rush is all I need to be me.
For the first time I felt that rush, that feeling of being lifted off by a magical force (by the way it is literally called lift in scientific terms) was when I first sat down on a plane. Ever since that day, whenever I sat on a plane I awaited the moment of feeling my body being lifted up again.
Bit by bit it all started fascinating me, the lift the drag and everything in between. I knew I couldn’t grow a pair of wings and fly away like a raven but the next best thing was to fly away in a “Blackbird” aka Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird.
Hence it was decided what I wanted to do in life and what really made me feel free. I wanted to learn about aeroplanes, and wanted to know what gave it the ability to simply lift off the ground and fly away.
In the quest for knowledge I came upon the University of Brighton. where I’m currently completing my Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. With each day passing I’m learning every aspect of aeronautical engineering.
But when I really look into it the one thing I enjoy the most is designing. That aspect nurtures my creative side for me and the calculations nurture my critical side. So, to be honest I’m getting the best of both worlds.
This blog is created to share every step of my learning process. To analyse and judge the risk management in a project; to learn about professional skills, to learn a little bit of time management as well.
Some case studies are done as well as I’m naturally curious and I enjoy to know the whens and the hows. I for sure will be sharing the skills I master throughout my course of study. To make it easier for those who don’t know where to start the learning process from.
Hopefully, my blog will be of some help to new learners or people who are on the same quest as me. I hope I can get you fascinated about aeroplanes in general and mostly I hope to inspire you to dream.
