SECOND SHOOT
SILHOUETTES
A key part of modernist fashion is their specific view on silhouettes in their garments. I wanted to look into this more and try and bring that into my own styling work so I planned to introduce difference angular silhouettes into my next shoot.
What is Modernism?
At the start of this project we were given 5 cultures, the culture I decided to choose Modernism.
- A change in perspective of culture within a society, in order to look at subjects with a modern viewpoint.
WEEK 1
When starting my project into looking into striped socks me and my group decide to go around Brighton and take pictures of as many people wearing socks/striped socks as possible. We even did an experiment where we sat in the same place for 10 minutes and took pictures of peoples feet as we walked past, here’s some of the pictures we took:
FROM STRIPED SOCK TO SUIT LININGS
When first given the project of striped socks the first thought that came into my mind was how socks are styled in menswear. Usually, a mens suit lining/cuff lining will match the socks.
