Covid-19 lockdown did bring a new social media into gen Z’s lives and with this it brought new influencers and a new way of advertising. People are becoming stylists from the comfort of their own home; the next few pages are some of my favourites I have seen.

Advertising in Films

There’s two different ways I’d view advertising in films, the first would be how they advertise within the film, for example how magazines and radio adverts look within a movie. The second would be product placement, where companies put their specific product into a film –  “Product placement, also known as embedded marketing, is a marketing technique where references to specific brands or products are incorporated into another work, such as a film or television program, with specific promotional intent.” An example of this would be how Audi promotes their cars in a Spider-Man film.

How Current is my Idea?

2020 is the year that brought us covid-19 and navigating this new world of social distancing and lockdowns every other month is challenging in the fashion and advertising world. It’s not surprise that the world has reverted back to nostalgic trends and making them more modern. For example, digital experiences have before more popular, with people not being able to leave the house to buy a magazine, being able to buy a digital, interactive copy is more appealing.

TRIP TO CORNWALL

Over the summer my family got some awful new that my dad was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had to have  a major surgery, before his surgery my extended family went on holiday to Cornwall. This was the perfect opportunity for me to find some content for task 2, here are some pictures that me and my sister took.
