Fundraising for a very important visitor

We’re really excited that the Head Teacher of the Malagiri School, Yubraj, will be coming to visit the University of Brighton in October.

Yubraj, in the picture above with some of his pupils, has been invited by the Malagiri committee and will spend time with staff and students at the University’s School of Education. We’re currently planning a fun and educational-filled itinerary for him, including trips into some of the primary schools that we partner with.

felt heart on the grass with some daisiesWe are currently busy raising funds to cover the cost of Yubraj’s visa, flights and accommodation for this important trip.

Pippa Totraku, lecturer and Malagiri committee member, has been creating hand-sewn mementoes to raise some money towards Yubraj’s trip.

Priced at just £4 each a limited number of these will be available at the leavers celebration picnic for our primary trainee teachers on Friday 26 May. There will be some scrumptious baked goodies to enjoy too!
