Welcome

The MA Architectural + Urban Design course encourages students to stretch their practice beyond the disciplinary norms to engage with posthuman and multispecies futures, and emergent conditions as a means of identifying and evolving appropriate transition practices. Students situate their work within global challenges, and are supported to develop individual critical positions from which to develop design interventions within urban contexts. The potential of the city to engage these challenges is explored at multiple scales through international workshops, live projects, framework briefs and interdisciplinary working, engaging experimentation in the evolution of innovative design work.

Recent students focused on exploring the region around Madeira Terrace in Brighton and examples of their work can be seen through clicking on the menu items in the bar above.
