Artist Statement-

I have created a unique collection of photos that has been constructed and edited to compose a narrative insight of sense of place. I have interpreted this topic into an idea that expresses an ‘out of place’ feel. This is evident through images of my cats in a location you wouldn’t expect. This enforces a quirky take on fantasy and the unexpected. Additionally, this represents a deep meaning behind the collection, suggesting anything is possible. I have directed the overall composition to represent domestic cats exploring using their natural instincts and curiosity, as they adventure through this mysterious location. Overall each image comes together to express this narrative that develops through every image. Essentially this conveys more than just a photo but an insight to a mystic world.  This conception has been consolidated further through the black and white theme, this enhances the flow of the collection significantly.
