Coca Cola Christmas Campaign

Coca Cola was founded in 1886 in Atlanta by John Permberton.  ‘In the first year, Pemberton sold just nine glasses of Coca-Cola a day. A century later, The Coca-Cola Company has produced more than ten billion gallons of syrup.’ (http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/stories/our-story-1886-1892–the-beginning)

The Coca-Cola Company is a giant conglomerate, ‘offering more than 80 drinks across 20 different brands, including; four colas, a range of sparkling and still drinks, waters, herbal teas, juice drinks and sports drinks – some of which are caffeine-free.’ (http://www.coca-cola.co.uk/faq/products/how-many-cans-of-coca-cola-are-sold-worldwide-in-a-day)

Above is a collection of images of the iconic Coca Cola truck which appears annually in Coca Cola Christmas campaigns. In 2016 the truck drove around town and cities giving out free drinks.

Above is collection screenshots which show two of the Coca Cola campaigns that the company ran over Christmas. These are positive things that benefit the community but it is apparent the conglomerate is using ethical issues to generate profit.

(Above) Here is both Coca Colas Facebook and Twitter page, portraying a fluent theme.  By doing the company is embedding its Christmas influence and “tradition” into consumers minds.
