I chose Anthony Thornton as a photographer because his style of photography is similar to mine in that we take pictures of banal, everyday things and make them interesting because of the way we compose them. based on the project called ‘ Alone Together’ which I looked at he said ‘When you live in a city, it’s hard not to acknowledge the distance between everyone despite their physical closeness.This project has opened my eyes to the many ways in which we all inhabit this world in such fleeting harmony. It has shown me how each of us finds aloneness in our own way. It’s the togetherness that is often overlooked.’ I think it’s really interesting how he takes pictures of ordinary people living ordinary lives and makes thme seem more interesting.
