The 3D model was created in blender using basic shapes such as a cube to create different parts that went into the final project. We started with making the pole that’ll be used to hold up the prop sign with a starting base of a cube. After scaling to our desired shape we then extrude the faces to extend the pole to be height accurate to reality. Bevelling was also used to add depth to the model in different areas that can be seen in the corners of the signs as well as the pole, Bevelling refers to smoothing out hard edges, this aids in mimicking everyday objects. We used the blender add-on which allows us to import images as planes, this was used to place the front of the sign onto the 3D model which was taken from reality. Pipes and wires were also added creating singular vertices and adding a desired geometry which in this case mimicked a wire. 3D modelling can be used to create assets and props for set designs in films which is what we did whilst Exploring CG and Live Action Integration minus the original assets.
