On this page I displayed early ideas and story boards for the animation project, where I had to create 4 animations, each triggered by still image scanned by an app called artivive.

once I was more confident I moved on to creating my first full sequence animation. Please see blog post ‘animation 4’.
As I explain in that post, after completing that animation, I knew I needed to change my technique to something less time consuming. I started playing around with Procreate and realised that I could use the copy and paste, or “duplicate” tool, but only with photos. So theoretically I can paste the trigger image over and over different frames, then shrink it down and move it around. This way I’d only have to fill in the blanks of the background. This was a very effective method because it meant the trigger images could be as detailed as I wanted because they wouldn’t have to move.
