My inspirational person- gender conformity experimentation

This is my first response to my inspirational person photo. It is created using cut up paper from a magazine for the arms and waist, while the head is created using pencil shading. The skirt is made up pen mark making and the hair and darker tones around the eyes are black paint. I added blue chalk to help it stand out more

This is the original digital piece done using a continuous line. I really like the way this has come out and the gaps between lines allow space for colour to be added, as seen in later edits

While doing work directly based off the image, I decided I wanted to explore further the topic of gender conformity through clothing. Men wearing dresses, makeup and crop tops, and women wearing suits and having short hair, seemed like a really interesting topic to help me experiment with different media
