The reason that my friend Eddie is inspirational to me is because we both went to a school where there was little to no diversity. Eddie was the first person I knew to come out, and in doing so he not only inspired people who were younger than us to feel confident enough to do the same, but he also pushed the school to be more LGBTQ+ friendly. He persuaded them to install gender neutral toilets as well as enforce to students that any sort of harassment or bullying based on sexuality or appearance would not be tolerated. He also inspired me personally to care less about what others thought of me. Most days Eddie would come into collage with the most glamorous makeup and amazing high heels that most of my other girlfriends would struggle to take 3 steps in. He didnt believe that certain things could only be for girls a or boys. He just wore whatever made him happy and I think that is so important The ammonite fossil has become a very meaningful symbol for me. It reminds me of my childhood holidays in Lyme Regis in Dorset where my family and I would try and find as many of the tiny fossils as we could. I fell in love with the design and began collecting things that it, such as this necklace and stone. It also became my first tattoo! My favourite activity would definitely have to be live music. To me there is no greater feeling than being among hundreds sometimes thousands of people, all singing together. This photo was taken from a Rex Orange County concert at the start of 2020, and became even more meaningful when coronavirus hit and live music has now been on hold for nearly a year.. This is my meaningful place, my home in Essex. I feel this photo represents it perfectly, with my dog sunbathing on the grass. This photo represents the animal I would want to be. It was taken in 2017 during a sports trip to South Africa. The reason I would want to be a lioness is because I feel like as a person I am very sociable, and I tend to do better when I’m with other people, lions are social animals. The other reason is I also think I’m quite maternal. I can’t wait for the part of my life where I have kids, and lionesses take very good care of their Cubs The news event I chose was the tragic 911 attack of New York in 2001, just three months before I was born. In February 2020, just before coronavirus, I was lucky enough to visit New York, and the 911 museum and memorial. The things I learnt and saw there still stick with me today. This photo shows one of the last foundational pieces of the two buildings.
