Making the Exhibition

Planning the Exhibition we had to figure out how we could fit everyone into the space. Adding more walls into the space was important. At this point I knew I wanted to be in the corner or the room to allow me to have the layout I wanted. I was originally going to be on the left corner but after seeing that demi on the opposite side needed more space we swapped.

Constructing the cornerĀ

My final work on the wall. The hanging process of the work consisted of going up the wall 130cm and adding the height of the frame. measuring the middle point of each frame and fixing the screw into the wall at the correct position, to allow even height and spacing for each frame. When hanging the work I had to consider that the frame would be hanging using a taught string on the nail, However it’s difficult to have each string to the same tightness. Making it a trail and error process the get each frame level.

Even after I got each frame level due to the different ratios of the work and can still seem uneven although it is level. I do think this can add to the unsettling part of the work that something doesn’t seem quite right. In my risk assessment I had to state that my work my be unsettling to some viewers due to the nature of the work and the blood used in the first image. As a group we discussed having a group warning sign at the door regarding nudity, blood ect. Letting the viewer know before entering.
