Small Scale Project

Building up to the degree show we have been set a project that is preparing us. To create a piece of work a 10th of the scale. Allowing us to either use this time to create a piece of work that we could not usually create that would normally be very large scale. Or we could use this as a trail for the work we will be making for the degree show. In the lesson we looked at maquette’s and how artists used them before creating work.

James Casebere

Casebere is an artist who builds and photographs architectural models that explore the relationship between sculpture, photography, architecture, and film. He creates interior and exterior buildings and often photographs them on water creating this surreal spooky image. It gives off the same vibe as some of the imagery I have been interested in.

Combining ideas together I think more my small scale project I want to create small scale sets from the films I have been watching and photograph them like Casebere.
