Photographing the sets

Like Casebere I want to Photograph my miniatures to look like real life sets. I had a go at Photographing my first set and I think it looks quite effective. To heighten my work even more I want my work to really look like the films and I’m going to look at aspect ratios of each film.

Aspect Ratio

Aspect ratio of a movie is how wide the frame of the movie is versus how tall it is, usually expressed as a ratio. For example, most TVs and computer monitors are 1.77:1. The films I’ve been looking at are: Psycho – 1:37/ 1:66 = 8192x 4914

The shinning – 1:85 = 8192 x 4428

Halloween – 2: 39 + 8192 x 3432
