I try creating pieces that sit in between being profoundly meaningful and have no meaning at all. Ambiguity, I feel, is quite a powerful tool to allow the painting a variation of interpretations and therefore allowing it to reside in a vacuum of infinite meanings. This space, which is where I try to place the viewer, allows for reflective thinking and makes them make connections between things they may not have necessarily thought of before. This is kind of like an idea generator, a space to think freely and deeply.
