‘In Stitches’ is a sculpture created from old cardboard boxes, drink cans and paper mâché.

After creating this model, I decided to dress it in a tight binder which created imperfections on the surface. I carried out this routine a few times before performing surgery on it. I believe this model is a reflection on my own identity and fears.

My work aims to unpick and examine the pressures and expectations that society puts on the trans community.
