Final Zine
Lasercutting and Etching
Embroidery
For my final zine have decided to had some tactile features and incorporate some of the geometric stitching within.
I think the final outcome of this is perfect and is exactly the idea I had when envisioning what it would look like. The lines on the image below signify where I had planned on stitching and what it would look like. I really love the blue and pink stitching as it looks effective on both sides. Unfortunately when physically stitching it was proving difficult to fit a pattern on both sides despite this I feel like the outcome is still effective.

Marbling
Marbling
I have been able to create this marbling effect by making vibrant and mesmerising bath bombs. I will use these images in my zine as backgrounds for my illustrations and to use in collages. I think that 90% of these were experimentation and some have visible faults but can be used to my advantage and I have learnt from these mistakes to improve upon to create beautiful patterns.
The four images below are a little selection of my favourite images, the bold colours and the crystal like swirling is exactly the effect I was aiming for.

Where to start?
Brainstorming ideas:
Identity
This image below is something that drew me to wanting to pursue identity as a project idea. Not only did it intrigue me but it gave me some inspiration to what and where the zine would lead me. I feel like having identity as one of my ideas could lead me to many possibilities as it is such a broad topic and I was curious as to what subject area would be the most appealing.
Futurism
I loved the thought of creating a zine about futurism but solely focusing it on or about robots. Robots is something that I personally had never had done much depth research into and feel as if it would be something I could enjoy. Looking into futurism as a whole as well as focusing on robots within fashion bringing in references from films and trends to back up my research and influence my ideas.
Nature VS Manmade
Again researching into the contrasts between things created by nature and things created by man really interested me and how it could lead me to various possibilities for my zine. I was unsure at this stage where my sole focus would lie but this would then develop when going into my research and allowing myself to branch out into different topic areas.
