Throughout my final year research project, I wanted to explore something I didn’t have much knowledge of. When reading the Elle sustainability edition, I felt inspired as this was a current subject that I was aware of however I felt this would be a good base for my research. From this lead me to visit the V&A museum to see the Fashioned from Nature exhibition, it was so eye opening and gave me a broad concept to go from. I felt that this was something that I wanted to mould into branding as I feel this is one of my strengths and passions lay. To gain inspiration I had visited the Design Museum and there I was struck by single use plastic and packaging. I felt like I could draw aspects from this into my design research and how this could utilise my skills. Looking into labels and care information, I used these to create my own bold labelling and experiment with fabrics. Labels and receipts are something that I experimented with through collaging and laser cutting, this was inspired by recycling paper receipts. Throughout my research I wanted to explore alternative fabrics, I had a small knowledge of pinetax and this lead me onto researching into creating orange peel into a bio plastic, from this I created the brand bioorange. Here I was utilising my design skills and felt this is what I wanted to integrate into my FMP. I was looking into love your clothes and circular fashion companies and something that really interested me was the design of Fashion Revolution, from examination I wanted to gibe fashion revolution a rebrand and a refresh. This started the core of my FMP idea, rebranding the downloadable packs for consumers and businesses to use. I think throughout ther FMp my idea will evolve and follow through marketing on a larger scale on social platforms and digitally marketing a campaign.
