Strap size prototype –
Several prototypes created to test strap size and strap notch placements to create a comfortable fit for as many users within the targeted demographic.
Screen size prototype –
A series of models to help determine the size for the screen of the watch through 3D visualisation.
Weight prototype –
A prototype created to user test the weight and comfort of the product on long runs. A weight was added to the most accurate prototype. Acetate was also added to the underside of the strap to prevent perspiration affecting the integrity of the cardboard on long user testing runs.
Button prototype –
A model to test the theory on button placement on the watch. Image 1 and 2 show the buttons being used in a neutral hand position whereas images 3 and 4 show the alternative worse position for the buttons with an uncomfortable hand position.
Wireframing prototype –
The wireframe of the app was created in figma and played a crucial role in streamlining the app to create a useful, usable and error free experience for the user.
Wireframe phone prototype –
Prototype for initial user testing to better develop the app.
Wireframe watch prototype –
This now obsolete prototype, due to the watch face changing shape, was also used to help develop the watch components of the app. Aiding the design of elements to keep their size accessible while maintaining a streamlined app traffic flow.
