Electron Microscopy – Biomaterials – Nanotechnology

We have an excellent track record of successfully, effectively, and efficiently delivering a wide range of consultancy projects to a diverse portfolio of industrial partners and clients.

For example, we worked with Surrey Nanosystems (SNS) from 2012 – 2015, using our Zeiss Sigma FEG-SEM, to help SNS develop Vantablack®, the world’s darkest material.

Other consultancy projects have included, but are not limited to:

Development, physichochemical, in-vitro, and microbiological characterisation of novel biomaterials for a broad range of differing applications.

High resolution scanning electron microscopy (SEM) imaging and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis of:
. Nanomaterials
. Pharmaceutical compounds
. Biomedical devices
. Engineering components
. Biological samples

Details of our Imaging and Analysis Unit (IAU) facilities can be found on the IAU webpage.

All consultancy work undertaken is fully supported by a dedicated University of Brighton Business Development Unit.
