Over the week of the 13th – 17th, we had the time to start preparing our exhibition spaces; during the duration of my preparing, I decided to split my space due to the separation barrier in the middle of the allocated space disconnected my work, to start me and Chris build a frame for my images and from here it was a lot of back and forth bringing the rest of my objects to add to my exhibition, I didn’t prepare or request any plinth for the exhibition. Still, I did need something to hold and display my items for the exhibition. For this, I started brainstorming through an item that can connect the work together to the food waste and hospitality industry; over the years of my creative I have been collecting these fresh food crates in my local area after often thrown away after use, I started collecting these when I was 15, and I have been upcycling these as side tables and shelves. Bringing these into the exhibition is very comforting due to their history in my creative process. From here, I have a mani queen head, a box of all my material experimentations, the moss rug chair and paired headphones.
