Here is my brand board for the branding of symbiosis, for the main colours of the brand I want them to be mainly black and white to keep a minimalist branding, a lot of the colour schemes are sourced from my natural material or biomaterials. I want my imagery and biomaterials to stand out as bold colours that pop in online spaces where branding is necessary. I want to make sure the font I use for my branding is a sans-serif font. For the final development of my brand through my FMP I need to solidify my logo development for the brand. I want a website and a range of social media accounts for my online presence, including Pinterest, TikTok, and Instagram. With my multiplatform strategy, I want to make my online space very interactive and form an online community through the posts and features of the online platforms.
Understanding the market I’m branding for has been important in understanding my strategies for my outcomes, a lot of resources from WGSN helped me influence this. With care culture emerging I want my brand to be sympathetic to the current consumer mindset. As climate anxiety is a bold characteristic of the modern consumer, the topic has a large influence on my branding and ethos. The Biodesign materials I will be exploring focus on the use of food waste to be innovated into materials and clothing to provide a sustainable solution, through my social media I’m going to share upcycling techniques, small sustainable changes to lifestyle and information to influence a sustainable lifestyle. I’ve been looking into supply chain models as personally I see the structure of mass production providing a large negative environmental impact on the fashion industry, researching other models and structures I’ve looked into slow fashion and the Zoob model. From my personal use of social media I’ve seen some new strategies and features with the platforms I’m using for symbiosis, one feature that I want to explore is the broadcasting feature on Instagram, I feel like this is a more intimate way of broadcasting for your audience with exploring conversation and the layout being more of a chatting resource. This way seems more community-driven and intimate than posting for everyone to see. For symbiosis, their broadcasting channel will show more experiments with the biomaterials with positive and negatives show 0ur audience can understand the process of curation through the brand.
