After finishing the pathways project at the end of September I was fully fulfilled with my final outcome. I wanted to have the outcome as a physical space and have more interaction and investigation into sensory experiences. Through the summer I started finalising concepts for Symbiosis as a brand. Expanding on ideas of web design, garment design and imaging. One of the main projects I set myself was to create a rug/ textile that resembles moss. The main purpose of this textile was to explore more knitting and crochet techniques and also to have a sensory exploration to involve within my physical space for symbiosis. I wanted the rug to be placed over a chair or place for the user to get comfortable while listening to the ASMR produced by the biomaterials.
I’ve included images of inspiration and progress of the moss rug, I’ve really enjoyed experimenting with different knitting and crocheting techniques as well as embroidery. I wanted the rug to be finished by the end of summer however I just have a few finishing touches to do before the completion, my next steps for this brand is to move onto testing and working with biomaterials which I have planned but still need to experiment with.

Starting on the FMP I am currently struggling if to carry on and complete the brand symbiosis to how exactly I want the outcome. I’m very passionate and invested in this concept however I have been working on it over 2 project. I am very confident that the time of the FMP I can perfect ever feature I want for the brand and for it to be functional at this point. Im also questioning starting with a fresh concept that stands out to me, I’ve started a mind map brainstorming some of the concepts I’ve been starting with.
