To get some initial ideas to expand my initial concept I read ‘art from found materials: discarded + natural’ by Mary Lou Stribling and ‘Basketry and weaving with natural materials’ by Pat Dale. Both books were filled with imagery and inspiration to explore natural creative techniques which I’ve included within the imagery below. These helped me think of a lot of content I could use for promotional features to be able to share my brand message of collaborating with the natural world rather than taking from it. For my future reading I want to look more into Biodesign resources to understand the process of making fabric materials and explore that to back up my process.
