On the sketchbook page below, I have talked a lot about the inspiration I gained from Micropia, but I feel like it was the initial perspective into Biodesign and made me think about how we can use natural materials to rework and design. The wall of beautiful designs and textures of Petry dishes kept me in awe for a while gaining stylistic and design inspiration with the natural combination curated by microorganisms. Reflecting on Micropia as a space was inspiring as the whole experience was very interactive and was able to hold the attention of age groups 5 – 60 with a variety of features including the stamp, the microscopes, and even a section on the sense of smell.
