When researching typography for the final edit of the magazine and working more with the InDesign document for the final edit and review. I wanted to investigate this as learning the fundamentals of typography is essential for decent work and understanding the terminology really helped me try to keep an eye out for these features within the text of the final print. I read ‘Type matters!’ by Jim Williams and referenced it when working with iris on the final days of editing the magazine, even exploring the book and looking through the variety of fonts within the book to look for inspiration for the final main body font of print. I’ve included some of the pages on this post of bits of the book that stood out to me including fonts that stood out to me and shape layout and to work with the type best for text and layout. This book helped me feel a lot more confident in approaching the final edit of the magazine typography.
