Within this audience segmentation, I was exploring our initial targeted audience. I found this really helped to start to understand and acknowledge who our magazine is for, we did a similar task within one of our lectures but specified it to a different magazine to practice. The sketchbook pages above are my initial segmentation and I’m sure within my media pack and time the understanding of our audience will increase, however having this as an initial resource is really helpful to understand who we are marketing to. I still need to work more with the visual promoters and the rest of my group to assure our targeted audience, but having this as a fundamental standpoint is perfect for this stage.

As well as conducting user research I also thought it would be helpful to do some customer profiling to understand the attributes that our customers could have that we can shape our marketing to. I told the visual promoters to do this too to help us understand from a marketing standpoint who we are aiming for. This certainly helped me understand who was profiling for and has helped motivate the visual promoters to brainstorm for productive features within social media and different promoting resources.
