While I was in Dubai I visited the Louvre there. While I was working on this project it was always in my mind and I was gaining a lot of my research and inspiration through my experiences, especially within the large commercial community that is Dubai. While I was visiting the louvre museum I was drawn to the historical ceramics and how they would create color within them as well as the patterns used within them, through personal research I did after my visit initiated my inspiration to use natural dyes, as they would within the ceramic within the gallery, and use them within prototypes of my garments backing up my precious research on natural dyes. Also within the museum, there were explanations and references to nature within art, the fascination and inspiration from the natural sciences that have been strung into art which interests me as nature surrounds us and not embracing the organic inspiration can spring unto us a block of that creative path. Most of my inspiration for my sub-brand is sourced from my natural surroundings. The difference between the work in the Louvre and my sub-brand is the contrast of knowledge and understanding of climate change and the priority of addressing the need for change within all industries, including art.
