To prepare for the 21st-century youth subcultures shoot I wanted to do some brand research and primary interviews with my peers which is shown in the sketchbook pages above. I found this useful as someone that is part of the categorization of how brands that are aiming to us a consumer promote their clothing. With the brand’s viewpoint, there is a broader range than I have presented. On the page above, however, I find it interesting how they all somehow connect with trends and ideas that I have connected. I also wanted to interview my peers to see if my opinion on the 21st-century youth subculture was the same. My personal view on it is that there is a massive range that is heavily influenced by social media however the subculture format has dissolved and formed more into different genres that adapt and transform together. With the interviews,, a lot of them agreed that social media has a big impact on style and a key point I gather is how sustainability is somewhat seen as a trend rather than my generation cares about the climate and issues surrounding it.
