Shoot planning and Contact sheet

After thinking of my initial photoshoot idea I always start a mindmap to broaden my ideas and understand my concept more alongside deciding little details within the imagery I want to be included. In the mind map below it was an already existing idea, I connected to the project as I was really eager to explore this concept. In the mind map exploring different shoot ideas.

I also like to do shoot drawings to get the images within my head onto paper to be more prepared during my shoot which can sometimes be overwhelming to remember what I wanted so these shoot drawings help me make sure my imagery is what I want. Labeling them also helps me with this and helps inform people I show my planning (eg) my models) so they know what I want out of my outcome and how they need to pose.

Below is my contact sheet annotated with picked images I want to edit and images I don’t want to use, in my contact sheet I always include my camera settings. I think the shoot was successful to develop it though I would have liked to do a lot more different poses and planned out the shoot more or used a different location. However, I’m still happy with the outcome of the shoot, below is my contact sheet and the two images I picked to edit.
