In our first lesson, we were introduced to our focal image which included Anna Piaggi. I thought it would be constructive to do my own independent mind map alongside the initial ideas I came across within the first lesson. The sketchbook page where I did this is below. I found this really valuable when starting the project as it gave me avenues to look down on my initial interpretation of the image. I also did some initial research on Anna herself to get an understanding of the image and the model within. I really liked the image when I first looked at it and gained inspiration and curiosity at first glance and was eager to research more about it including the photographer, Anna herself, the time period, etc.
