Design a product for gamblers that prevents problem gambling in physical casino environments. The product must use a harm reduction approach, whilst simultaneously provoking conversations within the gambling industry.
Approach
This project aims to attract emerging gamblers to physical casinos, whilst promoting responsible gambling behaviour. This will help casinos to adapt to a changing market, as well as reduce problem gambling over time.
The project focuses on redesigning the existing roulette table to increase the levels of social interaction between gamblers and to positively deactivate the gambling experience.
The project aims to provoke conversations surrounding responsible gambling within the industry. Although it is a provocative piece of design, it has been designed in a realistic manner, to help communicate to the gambling industry that this approach to responsible gambling is both feasible and achievable.
