I had a tutorial with Jules today about writing my statement of intent.

Today I had a tutorial with Jules, she told me to finish my part 1 project soon and focus on part 2. She also told me to add pantone colours to my trend book.

Today we had our briefing for our second part of our research project.

We have 4 weeks to reseach for our final major project. We have to visualise our dissertation and write a statement of intent and make a gant chart.

After this I went to the library to work on my trend book in photoshop and indesign. I’ve been coming up with a name and these are my choices :

Today I started putting all my images together on photoshop and indesign. I have planned my ayout in my sketchbook. Here are some photos of my work so far :

I have been on the WGSN website and found some really good inspiration called “Radically Natural”. I documented this in my sketchbook.

Today I had a tutorial with Jules. She gave me some artists to look at who support the slow fashion movement. we also discussed the idea of dying my own yarn.

I went to Kew Gardens to see the Rebeccas Louise Law exhibiton “life in death”. I also saw the botanical art. Here are some photos :

I have been looking at artists such as Cara Paizza and Claudy Jongstra. Cara dyes dresses from old flower bouquets and Claudy dyes and makes her own felt from her own flowers and sheep. This has inspired me to make my own dyes. I bought Beetroots, pomegranates, spinach, turmeric, red cabbage and rasperries.
