Time-Warp Tech Presents Apple : The Early Years (1977-2004)

Time Warp Tech Poster

The IS Museum has been given a new identity: Time warp Tech. Our aim is to gather various forms of old technology and create displays showing how the tech we use today has evolved over time.

Our first display Apple : The Early Years is now Live in Aldrich Library. It shows Apple computers which have been used at the University of Brighton over the last 40 years. Further details on these items have been posted here and are also on display behind each computer.

The screen on our 1986 Apple Mac (middle computer in the picture below) has stopped working, so the G4 is the only fully functioning computer in our display.

  1. I have a booklet from the Brighton Poly graduation ceremony Feb 1989 containing information from various departments & schools. There’s a section about ‘equipment’ within I.T when macs were being installed for staff. I could scan & send if you like.
