Personal Made Public – Rituals

P1200415 copy break the grids bible stand 1 graphic supersition book

I decided to create my own cult based on breaking the graphic superstition, and so I started to develop my own mascot, and Bible imagery. I used bright colours and distorted computerised lines, so that it did not follow all the graphic rules. The colour imagery, was inspired by other kitsch cult imagery such as the California’n religious cult’s ‘Heaven’s Gate’ Website. I entitled the cult Gridbreaking, to play on the word groundbreaking – but also because it does break the rules of graphic grid superstition. I decided, I also wanted to make it hardback using similar paper stocks to a Bible. Therefore, it could be the ‘Gridbreaking’ graphic bible.
