2019 International Scholarships- Deadlines Approaching

As we approach the summer months, and we welcome the hugely anticipated sunshine, we will also be coming to the submission deadlines of our international scholarship applications. International scholarships are available to high-achieving undergraduate and postgraduate international offer holders from all subject disciplines.

From Autumn we have been receiving applications and during the Spring term, we started awarding scholarships to worthy individuals. Applications still remain open for the following scholarships:

• International scholarships worth a £5000 reduction of full tuition fees available to full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students regardless of their country of origin.
• 1 full tuition fee scholarship for a full-time postgraduate taught student who has previously graduated with a first-class degree or equivalent and is a national and resident of one of the following countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, India, Nigeria, Pakistan or Vietnam.

These will be awarded to international students who meet our course entry requirements and have received an offer, meets the relevant eligibility criteria for each scholarship, and who show excellent grades in their previous education.

Once a student holds an offer of a full-time place on a course at the university, you  should email internationalscholarships@brighton.ac.uk quoting their eight-digit student number in the subject line. We’ll then send you an application form which involves filling out a some details and a writing a personal statement explaining why the student is applying for a scholarship, mentioning achievements to date, plans of future careers, how studying in the UK will benefit the student and what the student aims to achieve upon graduation. All the details are listed in the application form to help your students when completing it.

The deadlines to submit potential applications are:

• 31st May full fee tuition scholarship for full-time postgraduate students from the above listed countries.
• 30th June for £5000 international scholarships.

The final award committees take place in June for applicants for the full postgraduate scholarships and July for the £5000 international scholarships. Students will know by the dates on whether they have been successful in their application.

As well as the above awards, the University of Brighton also participates in and offers alternative scholarship opportunities including Forward Bound, International Research Scholarships, International Huxley Scholarships and Santander scholarships.
