Illustrator Jake Parker started the Inktober challenge back in 2009, and now folk all over the world join in.

The rules are simple:

1. Draw something and ink it up.

2. Post it online.

3. Apply the hashtag #inktober, #inktober2017 and #brightinktober

4. Do this everyday throughout October.

 

At the University of Brighton School of Art we are taking part in Inktober as a way of encouraging drawing, especially drawing in public, by helping staff and students set up blogs so they can share their work.

Staff and students can create a hosted WordPress blog at https://blogs.brighton.ac.uk.
